Established in 2020
Founded by Dr Pankaj Garg in November 2020 on joining the University of East Anglia and with support from the Wellcome Trust. The group has now grown to include studies of heart failure, haemodynamics, valve disease, arrhyhmia and coronary artery disease.

Our GoalImproving the care of cardiovascular disease by utilising state-of-the-art cardiac imaging with a particular focus on cardiovascular physiological assessment, big data and artificial intelligence solutions to streamline analysis and improve precision medicine.

David Hewson
Chief Radiographer with special interest in cardiac MRI EOE Cardiac MRI BSCMR representative David has substantial experience in cardiac imaging on several systems. He has led the development and optimisation work for 4D flow Imaging at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals. He also leads the MRI safety team to keep the MRI environment safe for patients, staff and everyone else.

Kurian Thampi
Research Radiographer with special interest in cardiac MRI Kurian has substantial experience in cardiac MRI and has A Diploma in Advanced Medical Imaging. He plays an important role in clinical translational studies, protocol development and optimisation for future studies at NNUH and UEA. He is currently Research Fellow at University of East Anglia.
